Weekend of Buick Apollo Bay 2015

With a hotline to God requesting sunshine , perhaps, a little rain... VOILA!!!  He listened .... We got our wish!

So, in brilliant sunshine, nine Buicks and twenty members and family cruised the Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay.

As the photos show, we were enveloped  in scenes which featured the coast line, with its breakers and  blue water. After a short stop to view the scenery, the Buicks cruised through the busy main street of Lorne amid the alfresco diners some of whom  were heard to say"Look at that!"

The cruisers enjoyed lunch at Apollo Bay in the sunshine and then checked into the Sandpiper Motel, not Sandpaper Motel as one member was heard to say. The heavens opened, but not to worry...we had arrived. Dinner that evening was at the  Great Ocean Road Brew House Hotel. Lots of fun!

Sunday morning was damp, but after having breakfast together, it cleared in time for the drive to Maits Rest. Here we walked through the forest glades which were truly beautiful and tranquil. The group then travelled on to the Cape Otway Lighthouse where after some negotiation by Len, the members were able to drive up to the Lighthouse for a great photo opportunity for the Buicks.  After lunch the members headed home after enjoying a great weekend of Buick. Looking forward to the next one!!
